Whether you’re planning a business meeting or an office party, catering by New Moon in Burlington, VT is bound to elevate the mood of the group. We’ve built our reputation on great food (organic and local whenever possible), superlative coffee, our own original recipes and home cooking right here in our kitchen.

What are your delivery hours?

Our normal delivery hours are 11:00am – 2:00pm Monday through Friday. Orders requested outside of these delivery hours may be accommodated but cannot be guaranteed and orders are always available for pick-up at our restaurant. There is a $25 delivery fee for deliveries requested outside of our normal delivery hours. 

How early do I need to place an order?

We require 24 hour advance notice for delivered orders.  However, if you need a same-day delivery, it must be called in by 10:30am.  Due to the growth of our catering business, same-day orders placed after 10:30am can no longer be accommodated for delivery. As always, same-day orders are always available for pick-up. 

How do I place an order?

Please contact our Catering Coordinator at catering@newmoonvt.com or (802) 383-1508 to place your order.  If it is a same-day delivery, please call the main line of the restaurant (802) 383-1505 by 10:30am to place your order. 

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

We request a minimum of $50 per delivery order.  Otherwise, we will gladly prepare it for you to pick up at our restaurant. 

Is there a delivery fee?

Delivery is free during our scheduled delivery hours (11am-2pm, M-F) for orders within our downtown delivery area (From the waterfront to Fletcher Allen Hospital and from Maple to Pearl).  There is a $15 delivery fee for deliveries outside of this area. The delivery fee is waived on orders over $150. 

When will my delivery arrive?

Your order will be delivered within a 15-minute window before your requested time. 

What information do I need to provide when placing my order?

Please give us the delivery location when placing your order along with the name & phone number of an on-site contact person who will be present at the delivery location during the delivery time window.  Please have your payment information ready when placing your order. 

What is included in my delivery order?

We will deliver your order and set it up (if needed). In order to minimize our environmental impact, we can provide compostable plates, napkins, & flatware for $.50/person if requested at the time the order is placed. Disposable salad tongs are available for $1.00 each if requested. 

Are there any other charges I can expect?

Return trips to clean up, pick up cambros, chafers, drop off extra food, etc. will incur an additional delivery charge.  Very large deliveries may require extra service and additional charges may apply. 

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your order, cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the delivery and/or pick-up time.  Cancellation charges may apply if less notice is given.

Am I required to leave a gratuity?

Gratuities for the delivery and set-up staff are always welcomed but are left to your discretion.
