New Moon cafe in Burlington VT is now a vegan restaurant, as well as a regular restaurant and coffee shop. We offer a complete vegan menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You can eat vegan with us at every meal - and treat yourself to vegan cupcakes anytime! If you're eating with non-vegan friends, they have plenty of choices too, since our regular menu is always available.
Our vegan friend Megan created the menu below based on her own very thoughtful approach to compassionate eating. We have not simply thrown together vegetable dishes and labeled them vegan. Every item on our vegan menu is substantial and nutritous. Salads, soups, and most sandwiches include some form of protein. And Megan favors flax oil as the beneficial oil of choice.
There are no gray areas to alarm a strict vegan. All ingredients are plant-based - no chicken stock or egg whites in the mix. The results, however, are anything but bland and predictable. Megan has achieved unique flavors and combinations to rival the best gourmet cooking.
The Macro Bowl is worth a special mention. Based on macrobiotics, it strives for nutritional balance, with a little bit of several wonderful tastes and textures in one appealing bowl.
Even if you're not a true vegan, Megan suggests you dip into her vegan menu now and then to promote physical wellbeing, mental clarity and a sound night's sleep!
